The 6th Annual Texas Open Bonspiel is right around the corner! Registration opened January 22. Here’s a preview of what to expect…more details to follow soon.
This year, the Dallas/Ft Worth Curling Club will again be hosting the event at the Dr Pepper Stars Center in Farmers Branch, TX. Located about 20 minutes from the DFW International Airport, with plenty of food and hotel options nearby, it’s an excellent venue to host a bonspiel.
The dates will be May 4, 5 and 6, 2012. The event is scheduled for 32 teams, with 4 draws starting at 3pm on Friday, and an awards ceremony no later than 3pm on Sunday. A Friday morning golf option is being arranged.
Registration cost is $400 per team, and there is a 3 game guarantee. Food will be provided, along with a special event Saturday night. We plan to throw in several more fun and exciting items, but aren’t able to provide specifics until all details are finalized. So please check the website regularly.
